Meet Chantelle
Chantelle Ankerman is a mom, attorney, and lifelong Connecticut resident running to represent Windsor and Windsor Locks in the Connecticut House of Representatives.
Born and raised in Bristol, Connecticut, Chantelle has lived in Connecticut her entire life. She earned both her undergraduate degree and Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut, making her a proud “Double Husky.” Before beginning her legal career, she worked for West Hartford Public Schools for over eight years. That experience gave her firsthand insight into the challenges facing Connecticut families and reinforced her belief that strong communities begin with strong schools, opportunity, and responsive local leadership.
Chantelle and her family have proudly called Windsor home for the past decade. As both a parent raising children in Windsor and someone whose parents live in the community, Chantelle understands the challenges facing residents at every stage of life — from the rising costs confronting young families to the concerns many seniors face about affordability, healthcare, taxes, and maintaining independence in the communities they love.
Today, Chantelle is running to bring thoughtful, practical, and solutions-focused leadership to Hartford. She believes that government should focus on lowering costs for working families, supporting quality public education, promoting responsible economic growth, strengthening public safety, and ensuring greater accountability and transparency in government.
“Windsor and Windsor Locks are more than where I live — they’re home,” Chantelle says. “As a mom, an attorney, and a member of this community, I understand the challenges families face every day. I’m running to ensure our district has a strong voice focused on practical solutions and a better future for our communities.”
Chantelle is committed to putting Windsor and Windsor Locks families first and working to preserve the quality of life that makes these communities such special places to live, work, and raise a family.
